Gone are the days! Nice One Don't Miss IT

Gone are the days!!!
When The school reopened in June,
And we settled in our new desks and benches!
When we queued up in book depot,
And got our new books and notes!
When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays ,
Yet managed to line up daily for the morning prayers.
We learnt writing with slates and pencils,
and Progressed To fountain pens and ball pens and then Micro tips!
When we began drawing with crayons and evolved to
Color pencils and finally sketch pens!
When we started calculating
first with tables and then with Clarke's tables
and advanced to Calculators and computers!
When we chased one another in the
corridors in Intervals , and returned to the classrooms Drenched in sweat!
When we had lunch in classrooms,
corridors, Playgrounds, under the trees
and even in cycle sheds!
When all the colors in the world ,
Decorated the campus on the Second Saturdays! When a single P..T. period in the week's Time Table, Was awaited more eagerly than the monsoons!
When cricket was played with writing pads as bats , And Neckties and socks rolled into balls!
When few played
"kabadi" and "Kho-Kho" in scorching sun,
While others simply played "book cricket"
in the Confines of classroom!
Of fights but no conspiracies,
Of Competitions but seldom jealousy!
When we used to watch Live Cricket telecast,
In the opposite house in Intervals and Lunch breaks!
When few rushed at 3:45 to "Conquer"
window seats in our School bus!
While few others had "Big Fun", "peppermint" , "kulfi", " milk ice !" and "sharbat !" at 4o Clock! Gone are the days
Of Sports Day,
and the annual School Day ,
And the one-month long preparations for them. Gone are the days
Of the stressful Quarterly,
Half Yearly and Annual Exams ,
And the most enjoyed holidays after them!
Gone are the days
Of tenth and twelfth standards,
when We Spent almost the whole year writing revision tests!
We learnt,
We enjoyed ,
We played,
We won,
We lost,
We laughed,
We cried,
We fought,
We thought.
With so much fun in them, so many friends,
So much experience, all this and more!
Gone are the days
When we used
to talk for hours with our friends!
Now we don't have time to say a 'Hi'!
Gone are the days
When we played games on the road!
Now we
Code on the road with laptop!
Gone are the days
When we saw stars Shining at Night!
Now we see stars when our code doesn't Work!

Gone are the days
When we sat to chat with Friends on grounds!
Now we chat in chat rooms.....!
Gone are the days
Where we studied just to pass!
Now we study to save our job!
Gone are the days
Where we had no money in our pockets
and still fun filled on our hearts!!
Now we have the atm as well as
credit card but with an empty heart !!
Gone are the days
Where we shouted on the road!
Now we don't shout even at home
Gone are the days
Where we got lectures from all!
Now we give lectures to all...
like the one I'm doing now ....!!
Gone are the days
But not the memories,
which will be Lingering in our hearts for ever
and ever and Ever and ever and ever .....

Gone are the Days......
But still there are lot more Days
to come in our Life!!
NO MATTER HOW BUSY YOU ARE ,
DONT FORGET TO LIVE THE LIFE THAT STILL EXISTS..... :)
Please Forward it to your friends and let them to refresh their Memories

Wait for your turn (Nice Story)

1 Day My Brain asked me " Y R U Sending Messages to that person
who is not messaging u?"
But my little HEART said to BRAIN "U NEED Messages But I need Friend!".

Puzzle!..Logical or Lateral Thinking!! Nice Story

Many years ago in a small Indian village,

A farmer had the misfortune Of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender.
The Moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer's beautiful Daughter. So he proposed a bargain.

He said he would forgo the farmer's debt if he could marry his Daughter. Both the farmer and his daughter were horrified by the Proposal.

So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let Providence decide the matter.

He told them that he would put a black Pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would Have to pick one pebble from the bag.

1) If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father's debt would be forgiven.

2) If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven.

3) But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into Jail.

They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer's field. As They talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he Picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two Black pebbles and put them into the bag.

He then asked the girl to pick A pebble from the bag.

Now, imagine that you were standing in the field.. What would you have Done if you were the girl? If you had to advise her, what would you Have told her?

Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:

1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble.

2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag And expose the money-lender as a cheat.

3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order To save her father from his debt and imprisonment.
Take a moment to ponder over the story. The above story is used with The hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral And logical thinking.

The girl's dilemma cannot be solved with Traditional logical thinking. Think of the consequences if she chooses

The above logical answers.

What would you recommend to the Girl to do?

Well, here is what she did ....

The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without Looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path Where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.

"Oh, how clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the Bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I Picked."

Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had Picked the white one. And since the money-lender dared not admit his Dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into An extremely advantageous one.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Most complex problems do have a solution. It is only that we don't Attempt to think.

Cricket Puzzle -- Nice one.

My answer is :
1st ball :4 runs
2nd ball : The batsmen hits the ball and runs for 3 but in between runs one of the batsmen didn't touch the crease hence it will be counted as 2 runs and the other batsmen gets strike and first batsmen got a century.
3rd ball: Hits a six by the second batsmen get his century and wins the match!

The Wind and The Sun

The wind and the sun had a discussion one day about who could get a man,
who was wearing a trench coat, to take it off the fastest.

The wind was adamant that he would be the winner on the day. So the sun stood
back and allowed the wind to take the first attempt. Well the wind created such
a fierce force that the man, wearing the coat, hung on to that coat with all his life
and wouldn't let go. The stronger the wind, the longer he held on until the wind
finally gave up and retreated in defeat. The wind was firmly convinced that if he
could not get the man to budge, with all the force that had been applied, that the
sun had no chance of competing.

Then it was the sun's turn. Out came those bright rays of warmth that make the
flowers blossom and the grass grow, and it wasn't too long before the man quickly
took off his trench coat and walked down the road whistling a happy tune.

Moral – You can usually accomplish much more with a warm smile than brute force.

Very nice story Don't Miss to Read it.

An elderly man in Mumbai calls his son in  New York and says,

'I hate to ruin your day son, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are getting a divorce; 35 years of marriage... and that much misery is enough!'

'Dad, what are you talking about?' the son screams.

'We can't stand the sight of each other any longer,' the old man says.

'We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in  Hong Kong and tell her!'

Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone.

'Like heck they're getting divorced,' she shouts, 'I'll take care of this.'

She calls Mumbai immediately, and screams at the old man, 'You are not getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then , don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR??' and she hangs up.
The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife.  'Okay', he says, 'It's all set. They're both coming for Diwali and paying their own airfare!!'

Small Story

An old man, a boy, and a donkey were on their way to town. The boy was riding the donkey.

As they went along, they passed a goup of people who remarked it was a shame the old man had to walk while the young boy was riding. The man and boy thought about the criticism and decided maybe the people were right, so they switched places.

Later they passed another group of people who remarked that it was a shame that the old man made the little boy walk. The two travelers decided that they would BOTH walk.

Soon they passed a third group of people who said they were stupid to walk , when they had such a fine donkey to ride. So, the two decided they would both ride the donkey.

The next group of people they passed said that it was AWFUL that the two put such a heavy load on the poor donkey. The old man & boy thought that maybe the people were right, so they decided to carry the donkey.

Soon they came to a river, with a narrow bridge spanning it. As they attempted to cross the bridge, they lost their grip on the animal & it fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story ? You Can't Please Everyone

ATTITUDE -- Very Brilliant

A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and ask him for a Phone Call.

Shop-owner replied Sweety this is not a STD, but you can do one call.

The store-owner observed and listened to the
conversation:

The boy asked, "Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?

The woman replied, "I already have someone to cut my lawn."

"Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now." replied boy.

The woman responded that she was very satisfied with the person who was
presently cutting her lawn.

The little boy found more perseverance and offered, "Lady, I'll even sweep
your curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you will have the prettiest lawn
in all of North-Palm beach, Florida."

Again the woman answered in the negative.

With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver.

The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy and
said," Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would
like to offer you a job."

The little boy replied, "No thanks, I was just checking my performance with
the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that
lady, I was talking to!"

Heart Touch Story Must Read .

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"

DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?" replied the man.

SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"

DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.

SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"

DAD: "If you must know, I make Rs..100 an hour."

"Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down.

Looking up, he said,

"Daddy, may I please borrow Rs.50?"

The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense,

then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started
to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs.50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

"Are you asleep, son?" He asked.

"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier,"said the man.

"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the Rs.50 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.

"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.

"Daddy, I have Rs.100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?

Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."

Lesson to learn from Heart Touching Story:

But even better, share Rs.100 worth of time with someone you love. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

Look at the Other Side..

A father was reading a magazine and his little daughter every now and then distracted him. To keep her busy, he tore one page on which was printed the map of the world. He tore it into pieces and asked her to go to her room and put them together to make the map again.

He was sure she would take the whole day to get it done. But the little one came back within minutes with a perfect map... When he asked how she could do it so quickly, she said, "Oh... Dad, there is a man's face on the other side of the paper... I made the face perfect to get the map right." She ran outside to play leaving the father surprised.

Moral of the Story:

Friends, There is always the other side to whatever you experience in this world. This story indirectly teaches a lesson. That is, whenever we come across a challenge or a puzzling situation, look at the other side... You will be surprised to see an easy way to tackle the problem..

God Gave Me Nothing I Wanted. He Gave Me Everything I Needed- Swami Vivekananda

A LOVELY MESSAGE.

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of
marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was
the gem of their eyes.

When the boy was around two years old, one morning the
husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for
office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep
it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the
kitchen totally forgot the matter. adults
in small dosages. When the child collapsed the mother
hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother

The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the
bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It
happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for
was stunned. She was terrified how to face her
husband.

When the distraught father came to the hospital and
saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered
just five words.

QUESTIONS
:
1. What were the five words?
2. What is the implication of this story?

ANSWER:

The husband just said "I am with you Darling"

The husband's totally unexpected reaction is a
proactive behavior.

The child is dead. He can never be brought back to
life. There is no point in finding fault with the
mother.
Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle
away, this would not have happened.
No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only
child. What she needed at that moment was consolation
and sympathy from the husband. And that is what he
gave her.

If everyone can look at life with this kind of
perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the
world. "

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single
step.

Take off all your envy, jealousy, anger, selfishness,
and fears. And you will find things are actually not
as difficult as you think.

MORAL OF THE STORY

This story is really worth reading. ..... Sometimes we
spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to
blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the
people we know. By this we miss out something or sometimes many things or everything...
